THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN!
A New Era Begins for Puyallup Lacrosse Club!
ONE CLUB. ONE FAMILY. ONE IDENTITY. WE ARE THE TRIDENTS!
To our Puyallup Lacrosse Club parents, players, coaches, board members, and entire lacrosse community:
THE VOTES ARE IN! THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN! AND THE FUTURE OF PUYALLUP LACROSSE IS OFFICIALLY HERE!
After months of conversations, creative ideas, countless logo designs, color combinations, and most importantly, votes from our players and families, we finally have our new identity!
And I have to tell you,
I absolutely LOVE our new look!
As expected, the voting was close. Really close! We had some incredible choices, and every finalist had something special to offer. But in the end, the decision wasn't up to me or even our board.
It was up to YOU — our lacrosse community!
And you have spoken loud and clear!
INTRODUCING YOUR PUYALLUP TRIDENTS!
Our official team colors are AQUA BLUE and DARK BLUE!
And honestly, could there be a better combination for a team called the Tridents?
The aqua represents the water, the dark blue brings strength and intensity, and together they create a bold new identity that I believe our players will be proud to wear every time they step onto the field.
This isn't just a new logo.
This isn't just a new set of colors.
This is the beginning of an entirely new chapter in the history of lacrosse in Puyallup.
TWO COMMUNITIES. ONE TEAM. ONE FUTURE.
One of the things that makes this announcement so special to me is what it represents beyond the uniforms and logos.
For years, Rogers and Puyallup have had their own traditions, their own teams, and their own identities.
But today, we're building something bigger.
Whether you attend a school in the Rogers community or the Puyallup community, whether you've played lacrosse for years or you're picking up a stick for the very first time, you are now part of something we are building together.
We are no longer defined by which side of town we come from.
We are defined by the jersey we wear, the teammates standing beside us, and the pride we have in representing our community.
We are ONE club.
We are ONE family.
We are the PUYALLUP TRIDENTS!
And that's something I hope every player, parent, and coach takes pride in.
THIS IDENTITY BELONGS TO OUR PLAYERS!
From the very beginning of this process, I wanted one thing to be clear.
Our players deserved to have a voice in who they would become.
After all, they're the ones who will wear these colors, carry these sticks, compete on the fields, and build the traditions that future generations will follow.
I didn't want this to be a decision made by just a handful of adults sitting around a table.
I wanted our kids involved.
I wanted them excited.
I wanted them to look at our new logo and say,
"That's MY team!"
And now they can!
To every parent who took the time to sit down with their child and vote, thank you.
To every player who picked their favorite name, colors, and logo, thank you.
To our coaches and board members who helped bring this vision together, thank you.
You didn't just help choose a logo.
You helped create the identity of a club that we hope will represent Puyallup for generations to come.
THE NEXT CHAPTER STARTS NOW!
Now comes the really fun part!
Bringing our new identity to life.
Seeing our players wearing aqua and dark blue. Seeing the Trident logo on our jerseys, helmets, and sidelines. Watching our teams take the field together under one name.
I can already picture it, and I couldn't be more excited!
But there's one more thing I want to say.
To some of our closest neighboring lacrosse clubs, our longtime competitors, and maybe even a few of our friendly rivals...
GET READY!
THE TRIDENTS ARE COMING!
We're bringing a new name, a new look, a new attitude, and the same passion for lacrosse that has always made our community special.
And we're just getting started!
THANK YOU, PUYALLUP LACROSSE FAMILY!
As president of Puyallup Lacrosse Club, I want to personally thank every single person who participated in this process.
I know change isn't always easy. We all have memories, traditions, and pride in where we came from. And those memories aren't going anywhere.
They are part of our history.
But now we have an opportunity to write a new story together.
A story that brings two lacrosse communities together.
A story that gives our kids something bigger to be part of.
A story that future players, coaches, and families will continue writing long after our current players have graduated.
Today, we aren't just revealing a new logo and colors.
Today, we're revealing who we are going to be.
And I couldn't be prouder to share this moment with all of you.
So here it is, Puyallup Lacrosse family.
Your name. Your colors. Your logo. Your future.
WELCOME TO THE NEW ERA OF PUYALLUP LACROSSE!
WE ARE THE TRIDENTS!
AQUA BLUE. DARK BLUE. ONE FAMILY.
ONE CLUB. ONE MISSION. ONE FUTURE.
THE TRIDENTS ARE COMING!
Thank you again for being part of this exciting new chapter.
